I'll open this up.
Norwalk Raceway Park
best run tonight of 12.83 @ 103.75 mph.
2.06 60 foot time.

only good run I had, got off the line like garbage the other times, but MPH kept coming up, too.
best mph of 104.86. so, I think a better time is entirely possible, even with my fat butt on on it.

Friday I'm doing test & tune, and with any luck I'll have plenty of runs in, to find out if short shifting @ 10k, 11k, ect makes a marked improvement, and will be posting. :D

XTRE only effects gears 1-3. It eliminates the factory timing retard on those gears. It will help with acceleration, but nothing on the top end. Exhaust will free up some power, allows the engine to breath, but I wouldn't expect anymore than .5 to 1 hp if that. That main difference I found is my 2 Bro is a helluva lot lighter than the stock can. 10 lbs maybe, just a guess but there is a substancial difference. If you want top end then look into the 2 Bro Juice Box, or a power commander. The JB has preset fuel maps and is tuned for their exhaust and I believe the power commander allows you to custom tune fuel maps. I have the JB so I am really not sure about the PC. If you do a search on here for the power commander I think you will get some better info, I know it has been discussed on here exstensively.

best ET at MCIR:
12.66 with a 1.94 60F time.
MPH went DOWN to 102 however.
I believe my tuck was not tight enough. I could hear some wind on my helmet those runs.

Going back to norwalk tomorrow, with BODYWORK!

12.58 @ 107 with bodywork, and a fresh oil change.
1.95 60foot.

I think a 12.5 low is possible, but that's a lotta runs to find out.
my carbon exhaust is coming, hopefully a bandit 1250 header is coming soon, the xtre, and some dyno time with a PCIII usb.

bring on the topend horsepower. :D

Like that? Go here. You'll be suprized at the price. Provisions for your center stand too! gotta select for a bandit 1250/650 but let's face it, tomato tomahto compared to our gsx650f's. Enjoy guys :D

The OEM can weighs in at 14.5 Lbs, about as much as 2.5 gallons of gas.

The fish scale reads 14.8 because its Lbs/oz, 8oz is 1/2 a pound...so 14.5Lbs.

Delkevic says my can weighs in at 4.5, and under 4 without the steel pipe baffle. 3 cheers for instant hooligan exhaust! lol

I've seen the size of the 1250 headers - they're big bore pipes - do you think they will help the 650?

considering the downturn in highend horsepower, and the upturn in topend, from Just a can change, the overall isn't that great, but the attitude is there.

http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/images/prod ... 580_4_.jpg

as one can see, the change isn't especially large with an aftermarket can, but it pulls for Longer in the RPM band. with a header, the shift will be further, and greater. and with more fuel, I am to assume much better things. 90 to the wheels, perhaps. The x-tre seems to untrap 1-2 as well.

however. seeing as how I laid the bike down in the rain just in time for my season to be over, lol, my winter might now be spent making it decent again. ugh. so much for a hot rodded 650 :)
