Hi there, I recently bought a 2008 Gsx650F and It did not include the entire front portion such as the headlight, speedometer, front cowling, etc. So therefore I was curious if the Bandit 1250's front portions such as the mounting bracket could be put on a Gsx650F.
Also If I were to go with a street-fighter and buy a street-fighter headlight assembly what speedometer should be purchased, because in Idaho I believe you are required to have one. Plus I was thinking of buying a headlight without a spot for a speedometer so was confused if I was to get a universal speedometer that mounts on the handlebars or something related.

If I recall correctly the engine wont run without the original 650F speedo etc (console?). I don't know if the Bandit 1250 console is compatible but I would be surprised if any of the after martket speedos would have any chance of working at all.

Not a big deal... you'll have to fab some things to work with your stock frontend hangar bracket, and cut the steel around where you'll hang your 8" harley style headlight, or streetfighter cowl, or whatever you're going to do, but make sure and save the back half of the fairing bracket, to hang your gauges ect! should be a piece of cake.
You could even save your brackets, and fab something around them, to hang the gauges lower, and angled a bit more, to hide under the headlight, ect. just some thoughts.

Just make it a street fighter ,the cost to get it back to normal with probably cost more then you payed for the bike. Look up USA streetfighter or some thing like that and you will find all the info you need.

After pics I saw here recently, I say go with the top fairing and leave the bottom off - you can then go with all the stock lights, dash, mirrors and flashers without hassle. Plus, I think it looks horn - without the bottom fairing you get a real pointy-nosed, down-angled aggressive look to the front...

Engine will run without gauges fitted up to bike
Bandit 1250 half fairing will fit onto GSX650F frame so long as you take whole lot including frame work that holds headlight and half fairing etc (takes 2 bolts near head down tube). 1250 gauges will work - plug and play, just don't get gear indicator.
You'd need to get rid of some little fairing brackets and look into getting side covers for rad to make it look sweet

Hey thanks guys, I am going to go with the streetfighter due to the fact that was one of the reasons I bought it, but also found a streetfighter light kit and speedometer for $200.
Ps: I bought the whole bike for $600 but still following the streetfighter path due to the extensive difference in the ending total price, thanks for your help thought!
