Just want to know from anyone here knows how much I should be paying for a new '08 GSX650F, being 2009 is almost over. So, it's a 2 year old NEW GSX650F. The lowest I got qouted for was $6,738 OTD still. WOW!

What is the best offer should I make for this bike?
Thanks in advance....

It depends on where you are located. You will get some requests to put your location on your profile, as this will help on questions such as this.

To get to your question, I paid 4,975 USD for an '08 with one mile on the ODO just about a month and a half ago. This was in Southern California and your mileage may vary state to state. Internationally the prices are a different story all together.

Here is a multiple listing from cycletrader.com to give you a better idea of prices across the states. New condition only 2008 models and newer:

Depends on the area where you are living I would guess. I know that there was a hefty price increase in 09 because of the yen to dollar... I personally paid $5800.0 for an 08. Because of the change in value in the yen dealers actually own the 09's for a lot more...

I got mine brand new, 08 Black/QUICKSILVER  full year warranty for 6k + tax tag and title. I figured since she was brand spanking new (Virgin) I would be her first "love" and she would never leave me. We hump and bump  on the street all the time in public  Seriously though, I wanted to buy her brand new because I wanted to make sure that she was in good condition plus under warranty. With used, you really don't know what you are getting and since this was my very first bike, I went brand spanking new.
I got the last brand new '08 in the Metro area and in the color I wanted!!

Good luck on your decision and choice.

Ride safe.

John

As mentioned previously it all depends on your location. Please add it to your profile so others local to you can possibly give you a better answer.

For the price you mentioned, I'd still also be asking for a free first service, centre stand thrown in, extra warranty etc.....
It sounds like a reasonable figure but a bit more to sweeten the deal is always better
