did a trip here in Canada through the Rockie Mountains , total just over 2700kms. Was a great ride, had my sergeant seat and a 52L tail bake from Kappa. was fun, but sore bum and wrists after 5-7 hrs a day. Plus my tail bag was a little heavy which threw off tehe weight in the corners. Was fun though and myself and my wife had a great time!

Whats your take on the 650 and your wife re 2 up. power, her comfort, and cornering, and fuel mpg thanks

For fuel i was getting about 250 before filling up so likely i could get closer to 280-300km if ran her dry. Comfort was ok. sore wrists and ass after 4-5hrs. also a sore neck, but not too bad. For a passenger with the tail bag there is limited room, my wife complained of a sore bum so we stopped after 1-1.5hrs for a coffee or stretch. also her knees were sore and she said she wished for more leg room. Cornering is ok with a passenger , but with a 21kg tail bag it was a bit tippy. better to have saddle bags as well i think to spread the weight. Its a good tour bike for the money, bit if i wanted to do this more often i would buy i bike more set up for such riding. But had a great time no matter!

Did you have to change your suspension setting for 2 up riding? My wife rides with me and I'm thinking of adjusting the rear suspension setting but I don't know if I should mess with it or not. Our total weight is around 265lbs.
I do notice the bike lowers at least an 1" to 1 1/2" when I sit with my wife already on the bike.

only 265 for both , you guys must be small! we are about 310lbs combined. left it as the stock settings and no issues. bigges issues was the heavy tail bag! made corners a little different but was all OK!
