As stated before, this bike rocks...fuel economy was 51mpg...which wasn't bad considering lots of passing (one lane road 90% of the time). My only gripe for the day is my butt is killing me!

Granted, no bike is going to be as comfy as a car...I haven't figured out why my tailbone hurts, other then maybe the seating position. Keep in mind I am 6'4" tall and weigh about 185.

All in all, I don't think my old FZ6 would have been better...especially in the fuel economy. I am hoping that there is a gel seat available soon. I know my bandit 600S had one and it was awesome...Just hope they come out with one for our bike!

Anyway, just figured I'd post about doing a lot of miles in one day.

Nice job Kodiak - you going for an Iron Butt patch or what?
Most I have done was 300 in a day with a stop in the middle. Can't wait for my Sargant seat - 300 mile ride this week end.

A few of my coworkers just did the "Iron-butt" ride. 1000 miles in less than 24 hours around Lake Michigan :P

Too bad I didn't have the experience and I hadn't passed my break-in period yet or I would have gone! :)

Black GSX 650F - is it possible to be in love with a bike?

Get rid of the huge can or fender first? hmmm...

On my trip back from Norway I rode through half of Finland, 600 km in seven hours. Had some hail and thunder storms so it slowed me down a bit.

A couple of weeks ago I did 850km in one day, but took over 12 hours, small winding roads mainly, lots of stops for coffee and conversation etc
