First things that come to mind are:

1) Check you tires. Is there enough tread life in them to last your enire trip?
2)Change your oil/filter before you leave Vegas
3) Bring a Tire Repair Kit
4) A can of chain lube. You will need it.
5) Small LED flashlight
6) A small hex wrench set.

I would also take spare light bulbs, spare front brake and clutch levers (in case you don't have those unbreakables like ASV) ...

How about the service interval ? I was wondering how to make such trip and not exceed the 6000km interval (4000miles is just above that I guess) ... so maybe take a map of Suzuki service shops along the way :)

enjoy the trip, it sounds like a magnificent experience :)
