Those of you that own 09's, does your bike have ABS? I really don't want to try to lock the brakes to find out. I'm a novice. I'm going to take it to the dealer in a couple days. I just wanted to hear from those who own one. According to the pics on another thread of a bike with ABS, I noticed mine looks different. If my bike isn't ABS, I'm going to ask for a 500.00 credit. I was told the bike had ABS before I purchased it. Bastards.

If it has abs it will have the abs sticker on the front fender. Also there will be an abs sensor on the discs and an extra set of wires going to them. If you bought the bike in the USA, you do not have abs. We would know this if you put your location in your profile. I don't think abs is offered in Canada either. Basically, if you're not in Europe, you probably don't have abs.

is there a warning light that comes on when start up in the gauge cluster somewhere that says "ABS" it should stay on until about 6 kph give or take. if you do - you have ABS
Thanks all. The U.S. version does not have ABS. I went back to the dealer and spoke with the salesman. I told him about the ABS, and he admitted to his manager that he told me the bike had ABS. The manager wrote me a check for 500.00 on the spot. Still wish I had ABS. But I'll be okay. It hardly ever rains in Albuquerque NM
Yeah, I'm not going to complain. Picked up a jacket and some jeans, thermal socks and othing things. BTW, I finally got my motorcycle endorsement. I'm riding the bike to and from work (two days now) and i'm in love. It is so easy to ride. I actually like the quiet stock muffler. Truely, happiness is owning a bike!
