I know I'm new to all this, but at the risk of sounding like - your mother? - ; guys, is it really worth it? Scraping pegs I mean?

I wrote off three cars in my early twenties, two my fault, one of those a roll-over that saw my girlfriend-now-wife receive stitches to the top of her skull (I caved the roof in). I'm sure if I'd discovered this motorcycle sport/hobbie/whatever all those years ago, well...

But hey, it's your bones. And who really listens to their mum?

Last week, the car in front locked-up as we rounded a blind-curve to find a queue of traffic at a red-light. No problem; being a boring bastard, I had plenty of room to pull up a car-length short. Of course, a second later the big black V8 hammering down behind locked-up worse (screeches and smoke, quite a bit) and I had not rolled forward another metre, there'd have been a little touchy-feely going on.

Probably more of a pucker-moment for the V8-driver than me; all I could do was raise the right hand and give him a "What the...?" gesture. What can you do?

Safe riding.

Cheers, Matt

Nah, it was my first time on that track, so they told me to take it easy.

Lol. Fuck that. Not much you can do at those sort of speeds but prey? And go and confront the useless twatt that pulled out in front of you in the pits after the race...
