I have just purchased a brand new 2009 Suzuki GSX650f on Wednesday 9/7/11. It had 0 miles on it which of course makes it brand new right?
Anyway in the first week I was really kinda hot dogging it and really ripped through the gas, plus I wasn't sure how the reserve trip meter worked
and didn't want to press my luck. Well at the beginning of this week I filled my tank and did so according to the recommended capacity in the manual.
I drive about 70 miles round trip to work and back. I averaged about 68-70 on the highway, 40-45 through town and about 50 on more rural roads.
I was able to put on about 222.1 miles on the 1 tank of gas, I reached reserve tank at about 156 or so and proceeded to drive about 65 miles before
I decided to put gas in. By the time I did put gas in there was still enough gas in the tank to where I probably could have made to at least 70. I filled my
tank with about 4.75 gallons of gas and last I knew the 2009 GSX650f has a 5 gallon tank. Anyway here is a link to the video I shot at the gas station.

Hahaha you weren't actually on reserve!
Reserve is when the last bar and the bowser both flash, and you'll find that the "Reserve Trip Meter" actually displays a number...

Don't forget break in! Or you might do damage to the engine, even before the whole fun starts.
