Last two fillups (regular 87 octane) have produced a combined highway/city
mileage of 55 mpg !! Probably due to summer formulation of gas. Been filling up at local Sunoco. Anyone else notice improvement in their mpg? When weather was cooler here in Michigan, I was getting about 46-48 mpg
which is still great! Image

Yes the formulation is probably helping. I took a few short trips recently and managed 60mpg once and nearly so on another but I have the 17t sprocket and the riding was mostly 50-55ish without stopping too much or twisting the throttle up which I normally like to do. :) My ave is probably around 50-53mpg for mixed hwy/city riding when I do the occasional run-up and not travelling some distance.

I could probably eke 65mpg but it would be a boring ride. But would keep this bike just for the mpg potential as its waay more fun than a 500 twin or big scooter.
