hey everyone,
Ok. so my wife finally decides to show some interest in my new quest to purchase a new gsxf. for months i told her the type of bike i wanna get. i'm rideing a Honda Shadow now and gonna trade on a Gsxf. we have both ridden in the past on the Shadow wich has an awesome backrest and sissy bar. so now she's like "Where is the passenger backrest gonna be when i ride with you"! Jesus!! now you say this...so my question is, what can i do to get a passenger backrest? havent seen any..could a GIVI top case double as a backrest?? thanx in advance for any help.. Cheers!

A backrest is easy if you are willing to get the Suzuki Side Bags and brackets. I made a custom backrest to fit where the directionals would have bolted in the brackets. Relocated the directionals to the center reflector, which looks way better anyway. Or if you can't make one yourself, I would be happy to make one for you, or anyone else interested) for a small fee. I also can help with the directional relocation.
Givi makes a backrest pad for many of their cases. As an example here is a pic of the E110 backrest pad available for the E470 Monolock case. These are not really plush back rests, they are made out of rubber but are far better than the case alone.

Somewhere around here I have a Givi E95S Backrest for my V46 Topcase?
They are hard as a rock and force the passenger forward, mine is somewhere in my basement still in the box??

Yeah.. I got the Sargent seat without the backrest... but I got the 3 piece luggage set for the backrest...
just the sargent seat with the backrest you're looking at probably $1,000 to your door canadian... I lucked out.. on e-bay.. I found just the seat barely used one for a bandit 2007 (which is the same as ours) for $325 to my door... So I was happy with that..
and I can tell you it's a NICE seat... very comfortable..
