Ok, who in this forum can honestly say they have scraped the pegs of the GSX650F. We may need a picture of the pegs if you say yes. I thought of this question after looking at my new tires after a few hundred miles and noticed that my lean angle has been pretty good, but I'm sure I haven't gotten close to scrap'in the pegs.

I have never scraped the pegs on this bike to date, about a year now.
But, once and only once, I have scraped the right peg on a 1993 Suzuki Katana 1100 I had. It scared me because it was unexpected. I have ridden a lot of years and this was my only incident I ever had.
My tires have about 1/8" on both sides of tires that have not been leaned on yet, I guess they never will.

Not on this bike; I did once or twice on my old Fazer but I think that might have been inexperience rather than daring!
Does anyone else find the GSX's front end sometimes feels a little... squirrelly? when leaning hard over? I wonder if it's something to do with the stock tyre.

I have scraped the left side once, but not the pegs, the crank case hits the road first. I have not scraped on the right.

crappy cell phone pic, but that is the bottom of the crank case on the left side. As soon as it touched pavement I got that instant 'oh shit' feeling and popped her back up real quick.

I have scraped the right peg of the bike once and it wasn't on purpose. It was actually when the back tire came out from under me and the bike pretty much leaned all the way over, broke the mirror and then high sided. So technically, I have scraped the pegs :D
However, I did scrape the peg on the little bike they use for the MSF Safety course on the last day during my final exam Was taking the last turn where you have to go into a turn and then accelerate on the way out and I scraped the peg. That was on a suzukie GZ250 so it really didn't take much lean to hit the peg hehehe

I ruined both sides last year playing about in the sun on the stock bridgestones and had to replace them because they kept catching my textile trousers in the winter.
Not done it on the new pilot road 2's yet but the michelin man is starting to fade so I'm sure it won't be long now the sun is out

Great feedback.
Nothing wrong with chicken strips. When the trek to work is all highway it's not hard to get them. New tires sure are nice and adds to the lean confidence again because of it rolling into the corners instead of falling.
Looks like Oxbow wins on leaning....and he wins..... new underwear for that 'oh shit' feeling!

I don't think I can get it much lower without losing control. Front end feels like it wants to wash out. I am assuming this is a suspension problem and I really have no idea where to begin to make it more stable in the corners.

Try cranking up the front preload. It gets rid of most of the front end dive and floaty feeling. I also stiffened up the rear preload to help with the traction. The suspension on this bike is not really made to get to aggressive with, so you have to be careful when you get your lean on. It's still a decent ride in the twisties and for its weight it's still pretty flickable.

If you don't mind me asking... how much do you weigh and how many Clicks did you go up? Thanks for the info!
