Granted everyone has thier own opinions of what the best tires are; however, I am looking for some input concerning milage and longevity. Normal commuting I put roughly 320-400 (some days I have two classes) miles per week on my bike, not counting joy riding time, and I am trying to get opinions on what tires would best suit this type of driving. I am not a real aggressive rider, but I do love to lean. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for me. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Then I seriously doubt there is anything better then the Pilot Road 2. On our dutch bikers forum there's a guy doing 12k+ miles on a 1100CC 167BHP Honda Blackbird. The Pirelli Angel ST seem to be a good alternative

You can go wrong with the Pilot road 2 . The PR2 have been around for awhile and have a good reputation.
Well if I can "go wrong" then why would I want them?
But seriously.. I have purchased a set of PR2's and will have them put on this Friday. I am looking forward to using them especially since I am taking a nice lil ride with friends to a State Park in South Carolina this weekend. 2 1/2 hours one way

Egalicious, I will not be purchasing tires for several months and any feedback you can update on the new tires would be greatly appreciated. I will listen to real world experience long before I will listen to manufactuers claims.

What is the average miles for the stock tires? Have only 4,000 miles on my bike and the dealer is telling me I need a new front tire? It measures only 2/32 and we should not renew inspection sticker? (but they did)

devildog,
Just had my 7500 service done at the dealer and asked about the tire wear. Dealer said they were still good to go. However, I will probably change them at the next service or most likely sooner.
I guess tire wear also has a lot to do with checking the air pressure (I check twice a week), driving style, etc. I drive the 650 daily to work on mostly straight runs, not much in the form of a lot of twistys I have to deal with and drive fairly conservative. I am more into getting the best gas mileage.
I will take the advise from kadett and sleddog on this one and go with the PR2s. I am sure they are more daring in the way they ride and with the mileage they are getting, my PR2s should last me the life of the bike

Daring?! Nah still got chicken strips. But they are like 1/3" I ride for fun and no commute so the tire has to endure a bit. And the 2 compound formula really works. Holland doesn't have twisties or mountains etc etc. A few dikes parellel to the river is about it when it comes to corners. Such a shame I live on the coast side of Holland. The Eifel ('famous' for its twisties here in Holland) is a 4 hour freeway ride. Been there once, almost never came back, as in I was having to much fun

How is the weather where you are at in Holland kadett?
Reason I ask is that I live on the windward side of the island in Hawaii and rain is a common factor of life. Not everyday, but I could leave home for work in the morning when it is clear and ride home in a torrential rain storm. Sounds like the PR2's hold up well in all sorts of weather.
We have a huge variety of roads here, with some awesome curved roads, and a multitude of climates, so it makes riding a thrill here in Hawaii, just haven't found the time to go with the bike yet.
Guess my chicken strips are bigger than yours, have about 1" on mine, but I am saving those for dessert, when the tire is fully squared than I will just lean and scrape knees all the way to work and back
