I have just brought a new GSX650F after 18 years of not riding bikes. I think the bike is well setup with the gear indicator, fuel level & clock as very useful info. The low down torque is very surprising for a revvy bike and pulls from 2K revs in top gear. I first test rode the SV650 but the GSX has better riding postion, low down power and stability on the road. I prefer the 4 cylinder engine to the twin.
Would like to know if there are any other Brisbane owners keen to meet for a ride occasionally and discuss the bike.

Buyer

Not used to this Forum thing and still getting to know where to write my points but certainly a good idea and hopefully Il get to find some local riders to catchup and discuss the bike.

Im not in Brisbane but I live up on the range, in Toowoomba. It would be great to see these posts generate alot of interest. A bunch of us out for a ride in the great south-east of Queensland, what could be better?

Agree, It would be good to know how many GSXF owners are in the area ( Toowoomba included ) so that one day we could all catch up for a ride together. Years ago in England I owned a CBX1000 and 42 of us met up for a chat ( beer ) and ride through the local villages. If we can get a contact list for the Brisbane area you never know we might be able to do something similar.

Hi Buyer, i was up at brissy a few back , nice place too the gold coast.

There's only a few owners from Oz on this forum.

Mt glorious is a popular ride for the brissy riders i believe.

What color did you get ? black or blue / white.

Hi there 99sydrd,

You are correct that a lot of Brisbane riders go up Mt Glorious. I have been a few times myself you just have to watch out for police as they are onto everything.
There are also a lot of good rides at the back of the Goldcoast.
Most meeting places are Mt Glorious, Canungra, BP at Yatala and Suzuki shop at Springwood.
I brought a Black GSX and am very pleased with the bike. It's a great all rounder, easy to clean and quite good on fuel.
I have only met a couple of people with the same bike and they don't appear to use this forum. Would like to get a few together for a ride.
