Just got my 2nd F, fitted GIVI V35 Panniers, but also have Yoshimura R77 Exhaust,

After First Ride home i found that the bottom of the pannier was very hot, was tarnished as it has gota bit soft, and deformed.

Anyone else had same/similar problem with aftermarket exhausts and luggage,

I need to get round this somehow, All help appreciated

You might try affixing some heat resistant material to the bottom of your pannier. Also, ride faster! :D

i had some heathshield tape stuff, like you using inside panels, but when i got home, i noticed something dangling, and it had all come off, so brouht a metal plate from ebay, cheap thing, stuck it on, not tried it yet.

well i have the same set up on my 1250 (yosh pipe and suzuki luggage/hard side bags) Been on there for 4 years and i have just a small discolored spot from the exhaust hitting the bag.

Now what you can do is go to http://www.holeshot.com/ and buy his touring slip on muffler. But i have had no problems using suzuki bags (there made by givi) But there a little smaller is all.

When I fitted my V35 panniers they came with a heat resistant layer to fix to the bottom of the right pannier. Should be able to get some from a shop as you'll probably be needing it long term cause I imagine over time the affect on the pannier will get worse.

Slinky, while I really like your bike and all it's mods, having the photo in your sig is kinda annoying...
