I washed my bike for the first time yesterday. Is it just me or is it a bugger to clean?
I couldn't get through to clean the engine block at all. You would need to be a gynacologist to reach some parts!
Anybody got any tips? Surely you dont have to start taking parts off the fairing?
It's not so bad now but I ride throught the English winter and it will get covered in salt and shetc.
Also, what's peoples opinions on chain cleaning? Some people use WD40 but I've heard this is a no no. I just tend to drench it in chain lube and wipe off the excess.

:P

OR ...

Just wash it as you would a car ,but don't go to mad with the hose and water around the motor ,just use spray .
Then ride slow for a few minutes ,just touching the brakes alittle to get rid of the water and make sure no soap is on the tyres and it will blow the extra water you couldn't dry off ..
:D
Its takes 5 minutes to take the fairing off. 8)
I did a how to do it some where on here.

Clean chain with kero and a medium soft brush ,lube chain .
Done. 8)
