My installation is now done, and i was able to install the Vortex clip ons under the top clamp and did not lose my ability to go full lock to full lock, i will be posting some pictures shortly, my wife and i just got a new house and are in the proccess of moving so please bear with me but i will have them up soon, as for the wholes in the top clamp where the commuter bar mounts were, i decided to use them rather than just cover them up, and so i took my dremmel tool and cut the center section of the commuter bar out and remounted it to the stock mounts. I use this "accessory" bar to mount my camera and GPS.....(rather rpund of that thought....lol) it works perfectly and puts the camera in a great position right behind the windscreen wich cuts out alot of the wind noise.

Again, i will post some pics soon

NorCalHUnter.....(PS Thank you very much to liveaverage for all the assistance)

Here are some pics of my cheapy clip ons. I made a couple of covers to hide the old mounting brackets.
Bit of a prototype thing really. I also picked up a smaller exhaust for $80 while I was at the wreckers.
From a Yamaha but it looks alright and sounds 10 times better than the bazooka!

NorCalHunter, Sensational !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you post up a few shots from a bit of a distance, so we can see the whole setup.

I love the detail in the bolts/caps that replace the riser mount holes. Well done.

Cheers. BB

Installed my new vortex clipons but running into a little problem I don't like having to move the grips way far away from the tripple tree but when I move my grips inward the clutch reservior gets in the way and I can't turn the lever down so its super akward to ride and hurts the wrist trying to reach for the lever not sure if anyone has had this problem but not really sure how to remedy it

So primary purpose of clip-on bars is to achieve more aggressive ( more forward & lower) handlebar position ... correct?
