Curiosly enough ,Since new , the color in my brake fluid resevoir sight glass is much lighter in color than the fluid in the clutch fluid resevoir sight glass. it appears that the resevoirs are similiar in design so its not a density of how much fluid is visible in the glass
My bike was prepped at the dealer of course .. it had 2 kilometers on it
so its not a wear or use factor..It only has 1000k on it now It should be the same fluid, Dot 4 brake fluid. It could be the bike comes from the factory with one or both resevouirs empty.. Brake fluid can have different dyes added for colour. Being an inspector I look at these things..so I was curious if anyone else has noticed this?

I have also noticed my clutch fluid getting slightly darker. It's been discussed in other threads and a lot of people are opting to change it. I will probably do the same.
I'm not sure why it's happening, but it seems to be a common occurrence.

I just got my bike brand new a couple of weeks ago. 0 miles on it. The clutch fluid was already a darker color. I don't think it is anything to worry about.

Clutch fluid darkenss because of the heat transfer around the clutch. Its not a big deal and its easy to change and bleed out.
My ducati darkens very quickly and I just changed it out.
I first cover the tank and handle bar area with rags. Have a bucket of hot water close by. Then I use a suringe to remove the dark fuid inside the holder. Pour in clean fluid and bleed through as normal each time topping up the holder. Put a piece of hose on the bleed nipple that hangs down into a container. (loosen nipple, pull in leaver and HOLD IT IN, tighten nipple. release leaver slowly, Repete, Repete, Repete untill your sure the fluid has come all the way through and keep topping up holder as you go) This way it wont take long for the new clean fluid to come down the line. once you have it done make sure you wash off the area with the water to remove any traces of fluid that may have driped around the holder or the bleed nipple. If you dont then its goodby to the paint work.
