bike just past 28000 and clutch quite noisy. Dealer suggests basket worn and may need replacement under warranty...

clutch noise is normal for the 650 its loud when its in nuetral and when u pull in the clutch it gets quiet mine does the same thing and i have 5300 on mine

A lot of people don't realise that there is a whole bunch of gears in behind the clutch basket that turn and make noise when the clutch is engaged (lever released), even when in neutral.

If you are a car nut and have ever heard the Muncie M22 gear box (nicknamed the rockcrusher for obvious reasons) you'd know what a noisy yet sturdy gear box sounds like.

Be interesting to find out what your dealer finds in there and the bonus is that it's under warranty

Check out you tube for Ducati dry clutch ....they sound weird if you never heard one befor.
