Hi there friend downunder, would you take and post a nice side on pic of the bike then we could see the full effect of your project, I also think some rim tape will make a difference to your bike. I used blue on mine and Iv'e seen white and silver on pics of other blue ones and they also look awsome, although I like the blue on mine. Take care.
Sure it's no extra trouble cleaning at all. It's a little awkward to stick on though, I got a kind of kit here at a bike shop it came with a plastic applicator. I first put in on the mainstand then lifted the front as well. Cleaned the rims well with a damp spirits cloth, let it dry then started. You peel back the backing a little, thread it through the applicator and position it, then turn the wheel slowly keeping the applicator aligned. The applicator peels off the backing as you go along and at the same time stays on track by hooking slightly over the edge of the rim so the tape stays in the middle of the lip. The only concern I had was whether to cut and butt join the edges flush where they meet or to overlap a little. I chose to overlap because I was a bit worried that there may be some stretch during application which could shrink or pull back in time and if butted flush would eventually leave a gap. Up to now though I havent noticed any movement so maybe the flush butt joint method could work and be a bit neater. Then I just used a clean soft cloth and rubbed it over a few times to make sure of a good bond. Now when I clean and polish I use McGuires Spray Tech wax and polish the shiny part of the rims and the tape and all seems ok. Got 5000km on now and feel the chain is a bit slack, but I don't want to mess with that and anyway it's due for service at 6000 so I'll just make sure its clean and lubed and wait for the service. BTW I have not noticed any other guys from RSA on the forum, are there any? Take care out there.

UPDATE ON SEAT:
I ended converting the seat again , i reduced the layers of foam padding from 3 to 1 and reuseing the orginal cover. Better comfort but no means perfect.
The main problem was the replacement seat vinyl was way to slippery and after a while the seat pushed me down into the tank.
