Wow. Just wow.

On the one hand, hats off to anyone who survives in an environment like that. On the other hand, I think I'll make other travel plans.

With the saddle bags can you still ride a passenger?

Last October l bought off e-bay a Bee tank bag (12lt -18lt) and the Oxford First Time Panniers (expandable) - $99 Australian. They were big enough for my wife and l to head for 3 days down great ocean rd. the rear velcro strap sits behind the grab rail so your pillion doesn't fight for leg room with the panniers. Had to shift the rear indicators back onto the reflector box at the back so you could still see them.

I have had the cortech tail bag for 3 years and other than pulling off one of the zipper pulls, it looks like new.
If I am riding, it is also on the bike so it gets used alot.
great quality.

I bought the tailbag as well, goes on and off in seconds and holds a ton of stuff. The other day I had my laptop/cords, cowboy boots, frogg toggs, sweatpants and assorted odds and ends in there. Looks good on the bike as well. Recommended. I'll be ordering the side bags.

Yep this is a really hostile place to live sometimes, you can't even risk sitting outside in your own back yard with a steak on the fire anymore, there are too many cases where they come over the fence/wall with 9mm's and AK47's and steal, rape, murder etc for your cash, cellphones, tv/dvd player and car. Have to live behind high walls, electric gates and alarm systems connected to armed response security teams. It's a shame it's a really beautiful country. Friend of ours arrived home the other night, she's 33 with 2 small kids, when she stopped at her gate they stopped behind her jumped out their car, shot her in the stomach, pulled her out the car and drove off with her car. Luckily she is on the mend. I'm still struggling with uploading the photos. Regards from Durban RSA.

sounds like a wonderful place to live

I hate to go way off topic here, but isn't that where they invented and sold an anti-carjacking device? I remember seeing it on the news. It was a pressurized gas tank that mounted in the trunk, piped over to two nozzles that pointed up towards the doors. When someone tries to jack you, the switch ignites the gas sparying out of the nozzles, and toasts the fukker!!!

My .45 is much more civilized!

do you guys protect the paint work from the bags rubbing up against them? I hear people complain that when wet, the dirt beween the bags and bike will act like sandpaper

My bags came with an additional rubber underlining that is between the bags and the bike. I trimmed the underlining to fit. I suppose, over time, even the rubber underlining could get some grit on it and act like sandpaper on my bike. So far, so good though.

Received the first of three boxes for my order from riders discount today!

Contained one of the covers, and the two Cortech Tail Bags!

The Saddle Bags and Tank Bags are to follow.

Boy - the Cortech Tail bags look really nice - great quality, and they have vey thick and soft neoprene padding on the underside to protect the finish of the bike... evidently the saddlebags have this also.

I'll mount them all up and post some pictures of the bikes with luggage fitted when the rest arrive.

;)
