Not a good weekend for the F. Got a high sider when exiting a roundabout @ 26km/h (16mph) wheel slipped underneath me and I went over. Sore right hand (landed on it and tore off my right glove) and some road rash. Also landed on my right side of the head. Helmet dit its job perfectly but of course needs to be replaced
Bike is pretty much OK for whats its been through. Apparently it only slid across its left side. From what I can tell (had a mild concussion so it could be worse)
Clutch Lever broken Handlebar bent, luckily it didn't damage the tank Left Foot pedal bent Left side swingarm scratched Alternator Cover scratched
Already in the process of searching for replacement parts. But dont know how the engine itself took the shock. I think its still driveable to see if the frame/front end has some warping. If so, its a write off. But since it only slided on 1 side I dont think thats the case. Bike was taken by a salvage company, gonna be driven to my house this week.
Keep you guys updated.

First rain in a few weeks, so alot of oil/debris on the road itself. Clearly visibile by the white 'foam' on top of the water. Already drove extra carefully but still to fast. Then again, it could have been oil or diesel that was on the road itself dropped by trucks or something. Wasn't in a state of mind to look at the spot where it actually happened. Luckily for me right after the roundabout there was a bus stop. Both me and my bike slid onto that space, so out of the way of the traffic.

Glad your ok kadett .. sounds like your bike is not to bad . All it takes is the foot peg to hit the ground and dent the frame to write it off . I guy I know has a bandit 1250 and got bumped from behind a while at traffic lights very softly and the bike feel on it's side ,not a mark on him or the bike ,but it was a write off ,it doesn't take much. Might be better off.

Sorry to hear about your getoff. It could of been worse.
I know a lot of riders convince themselves that it won't happen to them, but it is just a matter of luck sometimes (usually something on the road in a corner).
The only time I ever fell on the road (fell many times riding dirt trails), was just after it started raining. It hadn't rained in weeks so there was a lot of debris on the roads. You mix water with road debris, and the roads get very slippery. I was confused at the time because I was riding so slow, but sometimes it's just a matter of bad luck.

Indeed, sometimes you just cant be to carefull Found a wrecked Bandit 650 on our Dutch 'ebay' so swingarm, footpegs and rear axle (axle nut is probably scraped to bits ) are already located. Probably need to buy the handelbar and bar end/weights new. All in all I probably spend more on my new helmet then replacement parts for the bike. Dont care about the fairing as long as it is in 1 piece.

A little update, got the F bike from the salvage company. And looks like the damage is purely cosmetic and a bit mechanical.
Everything that's circled red is damaged. So the Fairing is completely intact and so is the tank (Horn button touches the tank within 1mm)
Damage
Mirror Scraped (no need to replace) Alternator Cover Scraped (no need te relace) Turn signal Scraped (no need te replace) Seat Cowl Damaged (no need to replace but found it @ scrap yard 50,-) Left Foot Peg (bent but all 3 Torx bolts are in the correct position, found it @ scrap yard 40,-) Swingarm (scraped to pieces on the left side on the chain adjusters, found it @ scrap yard 90,-) Clutch lever broken (Ebay for new one) Handle Bar (dealer dont know how much yet probably 100,-)
Checked the whole bike for torn welds in the frame and drove it for a bit. Drove straight without my hands so guess I got lucky. For under 300,- EURO I got the bike back into riding condition. Thats less then I need to spend for my new Shoei XR1100 helmet (~450,-)

Bike's bike on the road
Its not in perfect condition looks wise but mechanical is back in shape.
I replaced the handlebar thursday after a visit to the dealer where I got a brand new handelbar and bar end weight. Getting a renthal (like sleddog) suggested or anything else would probably took to long to find. Handlebar from Suzuki cost me 70,- Euro.
Here a good picture of how 'straight' the old handlebar was ,with next to it the crushed bar end weight.
Friday I got some help from a nephew replacing the swingarm. Since my hand was still bruised I couldn't put much force on it. The swingarm slid against the sidewalk pavement and that took its toll on the end of the swingarm/chain adjuster
Luckily I already knew about a wrecked Bandit 650 K8 that was at a salvage yard. So got this entire set for only 90 Euro.
But now comes the problem. I dont have a centerstand, only paddock stand. And to replace the swingarm you cant use a paddock stand. No clear/flat place on the underside off the bike to lift it. But then it became clear to me. I'll make my own centerstand from wood
I put a standard 10mm bolt through the Centerstand mounting points and thats how I could jack up the bike without the paddockstand.
Of course this wasn't stable at all so I put 2 axle stands on both sides of the tubular frame to let it rest on. Got no pictures of the rest. The replacement went very fast and dirty hands and a shiny camera dont get along It took about 1,5 hours to replace the swing arm. But that included cleaning the new swing arm and a cold drink break (was about 90F in the sun and with this close to the coast, humidity is sky high)
Took it out for a test ride and from the looks off it there is no indication of anything bent/warped. Chain is perfectly aligned as are the wheels. Bike goes straight at any speed without my hands. After the riding season I'm gonna tear the bike apart for a proper inspection of everything. Clutch lever was broken so I got a replica replacement from Ebay for 17 euro, thats better then the 60,- the dealer wants.
The back end I got from the salvage yard wasn't that great and needed alot of work as well. So I send that back. To get the bike in 99% shape I need.
Back End Alternator Cover Left side passenger foot peg scraped on the underside Left front and rear indicators Left Mirror
So in the next year I'll visit ebay alot and hopefully find all these parts for cheap. There's no point in selling the bike as is and I still got a bit of 'accident fear' while riding. But thats probably gone by the end of the week

I know everyone says it could have been worse, but I personally believe you got out very lucky, minor injury and minor repairs. Im glad to see your bike is already up and running. Good luck in the future, ride safe.
