Hi all,is it me or does the engine on my new gsx seem to shall we say odd,not smooth but grity in a strange sort of way its only done 100 miles but seems to have to got worse,answers on a postcard please

It is normal.
The noise does get better but never goes away. Nature of the beast.

Takes about 350+ miles for the engine to loosen up and the parts bed in.
Are you sure it's getting worse and not just a trick of the mind? It shouldn't get worse.

If it's honestly getting worse take it back, but it should sound rough and rattley.

if it is getting worse, check your oil level. Sometimes dealers are careless about crap like that. Also, motorcycle engines are just noisy. Our bike sounds a bit like a tractor at idle, especially in neutral when the clutch plates rattle.

The inline four is a noisy engine. It will get a little quieter. And you'll learn to love it!
