Hi All,
I just received my Ermax undertail. Have any of you installed one yet? I need to know if I will be losing the space where the bike toolkit is placed. The instructions really suck.

Finally got it installed during the holidays. Installation is definately not for beginners since you absolutely destroy the stock undertail. You would also need a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel to complete the job. Took me about 4 hours to complete. I had to use my stock turn signals because the cops here in SoCal are strict with DOT signals and having them 9" apart. The undertail does not come with a license plate bracket so I used THIS which allowed me to mount my stock blinkers. Fit is very tight but good.

I forgot to mention that I purchased from Frog Specialties which is the US Ermax distributor. Philippe the owner was a pleasure to deal with on the phone/email as well as in person. They are local to me so I was able to go and check it out before making the purchase.

Very nice. Are you thinking of changing out your stalk signals? Are them triangle thingy just reflectors?
Here is a link to my Powerbronze undertail. Pretty much the same setup at yours. I want to change out my signals, but I'm still searching for ones I like.

Yup, I plan on changing the signals for both front and back but I have not found anything as of yet that looks decent to me. The triangles you see are LED turn signals built into the undertail. They are not as bright as the stock signals and kind of hard to see during the day when lit.
Good job on your Powerbronze undertail. I thought about purchasing that but I really wanted to keep the look of the stock tail light.
I'm going to sell my PowerBronze tire hugger once I receive my Ermax hugger. Any takers?

I already have my plastic prepped and waiting.. I am still waiting for the silver tail to get delivered though.. I went with the ermax for the same reason.. I have the LED tail with blinkers built in, so I wanted to keep it. I can't wait to get it so I can finish up this round of the project and take some pics.
The only thing left that I really want to do is change out the stock engine plastics and the front mud guard to the CF ones that powerbronze has and then I will be done.. Well... unless some other fun stuff comes out this year

Hi Coolaid,
Did you also cut the circled portions in the photo below? Unsure if you used the Holeshot instructions which do not indicate that you would have to cut there in order for the undertail to fit.
IsaaX or any one who can help, did the clear tail light cover come as part of the undertail or was this bought seperately? I'm struggling to find one anywhere? Thanks

Hi Danny,
The LED tail light did not come with the undertail. I purchased mine from MotoDynamic here in the States. Other people on this forum have purchased from EBay.
