Hey Whitemax, I haven't had the pleasure on a 1 on 1 base with black and white on a wheelie. Yet I got a few good buddies which are with black 'n white, I've asked them and that's the tally: You do a wheelie on a less occupied street = reckless driving You do a wheelie and cars are in sight = reckless driving and public endangerment You do a wheelie and cars and people are in sight = cuffs and a free ride to the next jail Either way you are playing with your drivers license here. Well here in Washington State the cappo's are cool, but turn in an instant in to a hornet, they actually kick your but with 5+ miles.

I remember having a rather heated conversation over a few beers with some mates a while back about my disgust in learning that a wheelie on a public place, is dealt with in the same fashion that a car doing burnouts is dealt with... You're car/bike gets taken away and locked up for a while I'm pretty sure... THis so called "War on hoons" thing the RTA and the police force have decided to waste out tax paying dollars upon over the last few years... Its a fucking joke... I don't know what defines a wheely in their books, but every afternoon i leave work, the moment i enter that 70k zone then my bike gets opened up, meaning the front wheel leaves the ground... And to all those anti hooligan activists, i say this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU7BdaBALd4

Just to add, in Vic if you are caught on the hoon laws more than 3 times your vehicle is no longer impounded - It gets confiscated and crushed. I remember seeing the first ever one on the news. A young P plater standing there watching his pride and joy get flattened...at his $$ expense.

Lol. If they're some snot nosed little shit with their cap on backwards who speaks in a language consisting of a string of grunts to people, watching his Skyline or lancer with the big fucking Evo spec rear spoiler on it get pwned... Then i have no sympathy... Mate, you have 4 cyclinders... You have a bike engine in your car! GTFO and come back when youre serious... And clean up your acne! And tell your little tramp of a woman to unbleach her hair, and cut back on the eye liner... And get a job...
However, if i were to see some young bloke who has done a bit of work to his bike and put some money into a worthwhile vehicle, only to be pulled up because of a power wheely... Then I've got an issue... I may be biased though? Then again, if you've been warned 3 times not to do wheely's... Probably best to listen... I got a warning for not wearing my green P's once, and it only took once...

Right on Dashy!! We, at least I, are constantly battling whether to "behave" in traffic, or to do what's best and fun, while riding on my bike. Yet and again it's fun. THe other day, I had a rice burner Honda Civic doing the revving race on a red light with me...... I have to give this pimple arse, he had done a nice job with his car, cool sport packet. So I just looked at him, well he couldn't see me, since I got my blue chrome visor down and next thing you know he was dust. It was truly fun for me to burn his pimple face to hell, yet and again, who in the world wants to do a street light race against a bike!!! SERIOUSLY... PS: I did it once.... LOL, I used to own a Merc CL600 over 500 BHP and torque up to the wazzo and I managed to burn a Honda 600RR to hell, down side, this car ate a 315 on 19" Z Tire to hell in no time, so me spending every 5K mile 1 Large for 2 new rear tires didn't make sense, so I bought me a bike myself LMAO.

Doing a Wheelie or Stoppie in our country is considered a "Artikel 5" violation of the Road and Traffic Law (Wegen verkeerswet). With an 'Artikel 5' violation, you instantly loose your driving license untill sentenced by the justice department. Which usually is a fine between €250-300 and with a but of bad luck, you're not allowed to drive any vehicle for 2 months or so.
Literal translation bij Google of the law:
"It is expressly forbidden to act in such danger on the road that caused or may be caused or that traffic on the road is obstructed or can be bothered."
Since this law can be viewed very broad, even doing a traffic light sprint can be seen as an Artikel 5 violation in the eyes of the law officer. This of course is only on public roads and any place which isn't closed off to the public, including parking lots. On private ground with a fence they cant do anything.

I don't see how wheelies became so horrible?
Driving without "due care and attention" means you're not in "full control" and can lead to collisions and death is how it will be counted. It doesn't always, granted, just as DUI does not always end in tradgedy. And sentancing is never consistent or sensible sometimes!
It's always going to depend on where you do it and what's around you. If you're seen to be in reasonable control and doing it well away from others you may well get away with a verbal warning. Act like a dick of course and get what you deserve.
Saw a guy on a bike do a burnout (badly, with his feet down) in a car park once. Passing patrol car hears the racket he's making and stop to watch. When he spots them he stops and you could se him visibly try to crawl inside his lid in shame. The officer just looked at him with raised eyebrows for a few minutes and leaves - it was enough as the guy was nowhere near anyone and was clearly so shit scared at being seen he was unlikey to do it again. And the one mate he was doing it in front of was pissing himself laughing at him the whole time.
We all know it's not big or clever but it is damn fun. Now if we could all spot unmarked cop cars as we scan around before being silly it would make life a lot easier...

Got caught on one wheel in the rain late september by a sheriff!
I'm parked til .... may. heh. but they couldn't get my license before I destroyed this set of tires with a psychotic month of hoon...
What could they do? Take my license? I'ma spend some time in the armed forces, and come back to a goosegg driving record. The GSX650F is -not- going anywhere however. new tires, oil change, drained gas and a BIKE COVER for her future.
