You can't actually flood the bike as it is fuel injected. If it isn't running, wrenching the throttle only operates the throttle bodies.
Also, it's not F1, it's FI. As in fuel injection warning light!

What will help you out tremendously, sir, is having a service manual. If you gave me your email I could help you out big time as I have a digital copy.
What the service manual won't tell you, is to get yourself a spare piece of wire about 2" long, and strip a little bit off of each end. Take off the cover directly under your seat on it's right/rear brake side. if you look there's a little 6pin plug with what looks like a cap on it, and no other wires, like a dead end. Pull that cap off, and with the lock tab of the white plug facing up, take your wire, and connect the two right pins up and down. This will fool the motorcycle's ECU into "dealership" mode. and if you key it on, it will tell you the trouble codes a dealer would use to diagnose the problem! look them up with your service manual and you're not only on the right track, but it will advise on how best to get it back to 100% working order. Savvy?
You'll see a line, and C00 if all is apparently well. like -C00 or _C00. the line indicates the throttle position as the ECU expects it. - is dead on, and there's a high and low. not that big of a deal though, and it's not your problem more than likely.
PM me your email address, and I'll hook ya up.
