Yes, I traded it in today.
Mainly because I was bored. It's a very competent all rounder but has zero character. A real Toyota Corolla of motorcycles.
Life is too short to ride a bike one doesn't find exciting and fun... (I'm sure many if not most of you find it to be that, and good for you!)
Also the weight and lack of power started to bother me already late last season.
There were lots of good times but I felt it was time to move on...

Here's the replacement

Hi some_finn, sorry to hear you have traded in the GSXF. Your new KTM looks good and I hope you get many happy Kms from it.

Ride safe mate and post some pics when you get time.

The corollas in Finland must be quite different than the corrolas in texas.

Well, ok.
Sounds like we all kind of got b-slapped here.
I think the GSX 650F is an awesome machine. Not bored at all with mine.

Oh please. No reason to get your panties all in a twist. Just my .02 worth which isn't much.
If you think it's a great bike, then why do you care how I feel about it? No reason to get all upset and defensive over a stupid foreigner's opinion.

I think 33,000km is a reasonable amount of riding before wanting a change. I love my GSXF but sure would like to take that KTM for a spin.

Even though I think it was a bit of a B-slap I think the KTM is a nice choice.

Safe riding,

Pete

ok. Since you were cool about it, I can hang with you.
I do love my 650f, and am keeping it foreva, along with my super fun Suzuki DR350 enduro bike. I also like the KTM 990 alot, but can't afford to add one to my bike stables.

No problem here, by the time I put that many miles on my bike I may be ready for something else. I figure that's why they make so many models. So many bikes so little time!

can agree with you on the bored part.. I do not find the bike as thrilling to ride as I used to.. but I have my zx6 to keep me happy when I want a bit more zoom.

In a year or two my bike will be getting handed down to my girl once she graduates from her 250. I will be getting a Busa as my next toy / project.

jimsuzuki73,

What year is your DR350? Mine is a '90, that I've had since '92...I also love both my DR350S and my GSX650F...

Nice KTM- congrats! This is why I keep two bikes. I knew basically what I was getting when I bought the F, and it turned out to be much more than I expected- a jack-of-all-trades which I will keep indefinitely. But I still have my awesome SV1000S for strafing missions! :)

Nice bike Some-finn.
I get bored with bikes ,but I can only have one .
Would love a KTM ,or a supermotard for a 2nd.
But they're not the best for a one bike, all rounder which I need.
Do be shy ,come back and post and we want to see some more pics.

It maybe is a bit borring bike, but I'm not changing it until my GF gets its own, becouse this bike is really good with handling when havely loaded up, and only reason for changing for me would be if i ride alone.
