hahaha Spence, I'm really starting to look forward to your weekly "Where can I find a..." posts! In my mind I see you sitting on the floor with a bare frame and an owner's manual, building a bike like a jigsaw with missing pieces and no box...

But I'm not sure what you think you need a welder for? It's mostly plastic...

It certainly feels like that, its just I don't wanna screw up on anything. :D

Ps, welder is for the license plate holder, just need to know where to cut the plastic.

if u doin the comp werks, horizontal cut right below the tail light PS best to remove tail lamp BEfore U cut.

Use a hand saw cross cut or rip will do the job, best if u have some one else hold one end of saw to keep even
also use rear stand or centerstand.

happy carving

If your a welder and metal worker u can form a under plate, comp werks uses SS. U can do that or use sheet aluminum. Also u need to fab your own brackets to support it and source hardware to fasten, SS stuff bolts nuts.

Hey thanks for this info.
So am I to understand that when we're done cutting, we're leaving the bit that wasn't cut off, attached? And the Werkes piece just goes over the top of that?

Why haven't some of you people posted step-by-step pics yet? You should've realised I was going to ask...

The bikes engine/performance is still perfect, but all the cosmetic stuff got totaled.... plus I showed those kids how it was done.... and then what not to do.... but yes i'm ok due to my Knox handroid gloves, which are amazing and also totaled....

But what really happens was I was rear ended and slammed into the person in front of me.... and that hurt.... my heart, because it involves me spending $2000 on stuff I already had....
