Lol. Righteo then, i'll clarify. With my 14 tooth front sprocket, i will be ready for the ride down MotoGP through the mountains (admit it now, we're all GP riders in our own minds when up in the hills cruising through twisty's). Still. With my 14 tooth front, i reckon i could give young Casey a run for his money... With my 30kw/220kg learner approved 650cc bike, with its top speed of 185km/h down hill with a tail wind... Sigh

hey mate
was the only lowering youve done to your bike what was required to put your clip ons above the triple plate? if so is your position still the same cause youve dropped the riding position or is it still lower then the standard bars???

cheers

hey kelly, sorry for the late reply. Been running around worrying about my coolant spewing hudge of a machine the last day or so... The only lowering i've done is the clip ons yes. And yes, it's a much, much different seating position to stock. You lean much further forward with the clip ons, and with the front end lower, your arse is in the air a bit more... Nothing compared to any of the jap 600's, but most definately noticable. I actually had to end up putting some peg risers on my bike as it made it uncomfortable to lean forward, with your feet straight down. Plus, once i lowered her, i started grinding pegs lol. So now, my feet are perched up higher and are back more, kinda like i'm lying on the bike a bit more. Much different seating position to the stock bars :D

Hey dashy, keep your eyes peeled on ebay.au for GSF1250/GSX1250FA headers...

if you want a very shiny, very awesome mod, that's it. Even if they're nasty when you get ahold of them, a can of mother's billet polish, and a roll of paper towels will make it look like brand new, and you can match the shine to your yoshi pipe, THEN let it all yellow to the same tone of heat-stain on the steel. it -will- look killer.
big tube stainless steel though, so better get a fuelling kit for it, and get it tuned, though. ;)

G'day Voided, what's going on? Don't you worry mate! I remember a few months ago i was reading a thread on this forum about how header pi[pes have a tendancy to develop a hole in them over time. I saw this as a great "defect"! If mine ever do, i had planned on doing exactly what you suggested, and replacing our cheap, shitty looking and quality pipes with the awesome looking ones from the bandits. Don't make me go on a rant again how hard it is to kep these ones clean, but they look awful. Either that, or i could chuck a full yoshi system on her to replace the damaged ones :D Chances are it won't happen to me because i want it too though lol

Just remove the basket handle behind your seat to complete your back-end make-over!

I filled the front holes with black plastic plugs -- hardly see-up -- and the rear bolts I re-installed because they are excellent for hooking on bungees or cargo nets. Looks fine. I'll try to post a pic some time.

Hey Ghost Rider, if you could post a pic of how you did yours it would be appreciated... It's something I've been thinking of doing for a while (especially since my mate got his new gixxer... it looks really tidy because it doesen't have the handle on the back), but just haven't got around to it... The girlfriend doesen't even use the pillion grabhandle as she reckons she feels like she's going to get thrown backwards if she doesen't hold onto me... So i f i can find a way to get rid of it, making it look good, i probably will

So you can see that I still used the original rear bolts as they're great bungee hook-ups, and to fill the fronts, I just dug out a couple of black plastic bolts that fit. From a few feet away, you can barely tell. Waddaya think?

the difference there is that mine's free and it retains the bungee hook-up capability.
