Well, after about $2500 worth of mods, about 5 hours worth of cleaning, pollishing and lubricating, a very stern lecture from the girlfriend for using her good glass cleanig cloth on my frame and swingarm, I've finally got my girl looking how i want it! So i thought I'd post some pics

Hmm, Wagga Wagga eh? Nice little romp from Canberra. May drop by this Spring and see her in person.

Mate, any weekend you want to come for a fang through the snowy's, let us know. And that goes for anyone. Some of the states best roads are only an hour or so from here Theres a group of about 4 other blokes i ride with around here too, and we're always keen for a ride. Should try and organise some forum, get together, mass ride thingy at some point i feel. Unless something like that has already been done... I'm keen to travel somewhere and meet up with everyone

lol. I know I scrubbed, and scrubbed, and scrubbed! It wouldnt come off! Too many wet weather rides... Once you put up a review of how yours went with no cat, im honestly considering taking the whole thing off! The shitty brown colour is unsightly... Spose i COULD spray paint it or something...

There's a stove polish product (or similar, not sure of the name...) that I hear people using on their headers etc - coat an old shoelace in the polish, loop it around the pipe, then "saw" it back and forth to clean and polish... Other alternative is black exhaust paint, but I don't fancy the prep phase for that job!

Hmmm. I might look into that. Not for a while though. This weekends job will be to clean my poor old neglected AU you see in the background. She needs a serious polish, engine clean and some general maintenance. I think i'll go with the polish idea, as, if i'm going to pull my pipes off to paint them, i'd rather just take them off, and cut the cat out, and then put the pipes back on. Unrestricted, noisy and perhaps with a little more power. Mostly for the noise part though. One of my mates had a yoshi on his old zx6r, which had no cat convertor, and it sounded excellent lol. You could here him coming for miles

Fair point, that... I had a good look at the cat while I was fitting the Yoshi - looks GREAT for making waffles on, not so great for breathing through...
