Hardest thing about a new bike(besides the seat), is restraining yourself for the break-in period. I have tried hard, and mostly succeeded, to keep the RPM below 6000. That equates to about 73 MPH in 6th, so I've been avoiding the major highways. Haven't been too aggressive with the bike yet, but it handles great the best I can tell. Everyone that complained about the weight of the bike has obviously never ridden it. I was a bit uneasy at first, not so much from the weight, but because I am a shorter rider. I have no problem footing the bike at stops, once I gained the confidence and got used to where the foot pegs were(coming from a cruiser). The power is there but controllable. The first two gears are kind of short, which I'm sure will take getting used to if you've ridden true sport bikes before.

This week of commuting and evening rides should put me over the 500 mile mark, where I can start to hit 9000 RPM. Looking forward to seeing what the bike is capable of, though I'm sure it's more then the rider is capable of at this point. I plan on adding a Yoshimura TRC carbon fiber slip on this week, so it should be a fun weekend.

The gears are short, but I sometimes pull up at lights etc in 2nd gear and take off from there. It's short enough to.

I can also just half click down to neutral if I need too.

I think everyone agrees on the weight. It makes the bike stable and isn't an issue when on the move.
