Today had opportunity for first long ride with a group. Only thing that would have made it more fun would be if some of ya'll were with us. Four of us left at 8:30 and got home at 4:30. Great time! Highlights included give n take b/s at breakfast & lunch!!! :o

We found some nice scenery ... probably the last of the fall foliage. Unfortunately it's hard to find anything that qualifies as challenging routes in northeastern & northwestern Illinois. Oh well, maybe next time we can get out to Galena.

Want to express THANKS to many of you at this forum for sharing your experiences/ideas about gear, tools, etc., etc.!!! Made my ride more enjoyable and safer.

Hope your week is a great one.

Good to hear you're getting out with fellow F'rs and having some good times.
I'm about the only one around in my area with the 650F so I miss out. The other guys and girl(s) are all 800+km away in NSW. :(
I'm hoping to plan a trip up their way next year and experience some of their routes which I believe are really good. 8)

I go for rides with a few friends but the 'F' is a bit tame compared to theirs (Honda VFR800, Triumph Daytona 675, Ducati 1098, Honda SP-2). I can keep up with them for a bit, but then the lights change from red to green and all I see is tail lights in the distance. (actually the 'F' keeps up really well with the 800 and the 675.)
Next year I'm buying the Hayabusa, but that just means I'll still be riding by myself a lot or waiting on the side of the road for the others to catch up. 8) Who cares it's all fun anyway. :D

Cheers. BB

Nice to hear! I would like to find some riders close to me as well. We are running out of warmth to tackle the mountain runs!
