Hi,

Nearly got caught out the other day as I had the clock displayed instead of the odo.
Realised that if you have the clock displayed, the reserve fuel odo doesn't automatically come on. It only starts automatically changes if you have it on odo reading. Has anyone else noticed this??
Has anyone fitted a clock to the 650f as I do prefer both clock and odo?

Cheers.
Dan

I hadn't noticed because I always keep it on clock. But I know I get 300km before the last bar of the fuel gauge starts flashing, and it's usually around the 200km mark that it goes down to the last bar and the fuel icon starts flashing. I just ride around until I'm on the last bar and its convenient, but if the last bar starts flashing I pull into the next servo. Who needs the reserve km anyway? :)

I keep mine on the Trip A meter and it doesn't automatically switch to the Reserve meter. Perhaps I should use the odometer instead.

Mine doesn't switch to reserve EVER! No matter if its on ODO, Trip A/B or Clock. Here in Europe its not a problem, there's a Gas Station every 20km or so.

?? What do you mean... switch to reserve ??

I have mine always on ODO, and I tested the fuel indicator once, and the math was correct.
When going to one bar, the icon started to flash, and with 2 liters left the last bar flashes too.

And I mounted a seperate clock.

I've got the black version

@Lampie: Apparently the ODO display of the other guys switches to the reserve trip indicator automaticly when the fuel icon starts flashing.

I keep mine on the clock.

I have a simple system - when the fuel gauge is down to the last bar and flashing, I go get petrol.

I've never bothered with the reserve odometer, but it does reset even if my clock is displayed.....

;)

And why fit a clock too? If you want to see the ODO, just lean forward a touch and press the button.

You mean i can change the display? :o I thought it was fixed to the ODO, shit, i've had the bike for a year and didn't know it can do that. Although it took me 9 months to find out i could turn the key back past 'LOCK' to turn the parkers on only. Next someone will tell me the bike has some kind of stand so i don't have to lean it against a tree!

Hey, What if they put an engine in it so we wouldn't have to push the thing up hills. And a steering wheel would be nice, all that leaning makes me dizzy.
