Awesome gloves these are. Very high quality. Very warm gloves, battery power is great!
Fit excellent. No problems. There are NO negatives to report.

Oouch, very expensive, but i spose you get what you pay for these days. I read a few reviews and they sound like a awesome product. I'm glad i live in australia as the winters don't really get that cold here. :) :) :)

Those look pretty good! I just bought some too, but didn't really shop around. I bought the TourMaster brand of heated gloves. I've bought a lot of TourMaster riding gear, and it never disappoints. Great stuff. Anyway, here are the gloves I bought. They don't look to be as rugged, but they are less expensive! Mine are textile, but they do have leather version for a few more dollars. If you are interested in ordering these, get them two sizes larger than you normally wear. The double extra large fit my normally size large hands nicely.

I got Gerbring gloves last year and rode about 2000 mile sin the Winter that I wouldnt have done without them. I had to get them out again last month but it seems to have warmed up again now. I would like a better plug/socket arrangement so I can use one hand asnd do away with the battery lead I have tied to the frame. Sure I saw a product on the net once that had a solidly fixed Gerbring socket and Optimate socket combined which would get rid of 2 leads I havre dangling off the bike. but cant find it now. If you are in UK look at the NEC latere this month, I got mine there for £35 less than list.

Does all this electrically-heated gear put strain on F's battery?

I am going to use only the jacket liner to be powered by the bike. 77Watts.
My heated gloves will not be using bike power.

Max output of bike 400Watts @5000rpm minus all of bikes functioning needs (computer, fuel pump,etc..) =

I calculate with low beam on, power left for accessories will be 128 Watts @ 5000rpm
I calculate with high beam on, power left for accessories will be 68 Watts @ 5000rpm

Note: Bike is all stock with no LED technology in use.

This is all of my calculations, others may disagree, whatever. :|
