Hi, I recently saw a picture of the bandit that was available in the UK and was wondering if anyone knows of / could help me find the headlight, etc. to go from fairing to this: ** I searched but haven't had much luck with the search on this site.
That does look nice but unfortunately our headers were not meant to be seen and therefore are not pretty and shiney like those. I actually just took the fairing off my bike while doing an oil change and took some pictures, what do ya know I didn't have a stupid memory card in my camera and they were not saved!

I also love the look and keep intending to do a conversion (but it's hard to justify spending that kind of money on a bike that is working perfectly well as is). How to find the necessary parts depends on what country you live in. If Suzuki sell any of the naked liquid cooled Bandits (1250 or 650) in your country then it should just be a simple metter of asking your local Suzuki dealer to gets the parts for you. They should be interchangeable, especially the Bandit 650 (obviously). If not, you could no doubt find alternatives (there are plenty of "streetfighter" sites and shops online). One thing to bare in mind though is that the motor for the 650F will not run without being connected to the stock gauges*, which of course are not designed to be on a naked bike. I figured I would fabricate my own bracket out of aluminium and fibreglass, but I think this is about the largest obstacle on the path to motorcycle nudity. There are also the side panels (between the radiator and the tank) to be considered. Other than that, there are plenty of alternative indicators and headlights around that are designed for naked bikes.
*I am basing this on a thread that someone posted on this forum a while ago from someone who bought a 650F engine for a go-kart and then discovered he would also need the gauges to get it to run. I don't know 100% if this is correct.

With the money needed to do the conversion you could get a new bandit 650/1250 (with trade in for your old bike) I dont really like the naked look off the Bandit. Streetfighter is also not my style. Naked bikes like the CB1000R or Superduke are more my kind of naked bike.

mate, there are quite a few parts that go into taking your faired to a naked. it's not impossible but will take a few $$$$ if you want to get the whole look. It's not as simple as getting a headlight. you will little bits such as mirror mounts, gauges (yes the GSF gauges will work on the GSXF without problems), indicators, nuts and bolts etc etc. It's the small things you will need that you more than likely forget. you could have a look at brand new parts form a dealer (very very expensive but should be able to get them in one hit) or a breaker/wrecker might have some of the parts here of there that you will need (not so expensive but might take a few yards and maybe a visit to ebay or similar to get all the bits you need) it might be handy to go to a suzuki dealer and have an eyeball over a GSF6501250 naked of 2007/2008 vintage so you can get an idea of what is needed. They might even be able to help you out with part numbers and prices while you are there or maybe a print of of the parts picture.
the suggestion of looking at streetfighter sites is a good one as these people have been there and done that so will be a good resource for you
not knowing where abouts in the world you are because you didn't put the info in your profile i could begine to give you suggestions of where to start looking but a google search (or whatever search engine you want to use) is a great place to start. Perhaps a bandit forum in the UK (as this was the main place the 650 was sold as a naked) might be of help

I LOVE THIS LOOK!
My 2008 GSX650F looks just like this, but I am missing the nose fariing piece in between the headlight and gauges.... anyone know where I can find this piece?

thanks for the post - No luck here getting the dealership to help with getting parts from across the ocean (I'm in TN, updated my profile). My friend can fab the side pieces and I can get em painted. I'd really like to get the headlight / instruments / etc.
This is just how I bought it... I love this look, however I want to find a small wind screen to put above the head light. Also, doesn anyone know if exhaust for a GSF650 will fit the GSX650F, is this the same bike?
