Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it. I'm waiting on a few phone calls with prices on a bunch of pipes. At this stage i'll be leaning towards a two brothers or a yoshi.. I guess the price will play a part in deciding But the youtube vids of the two brothers pipes are very persuasive
Look, I posted an youtube video of my 2bros (the classic one, a lot of bikes have this pipe) screaming like a mean dog! Compared with a Jeskap (brazilian pipe) sounds really better. Take a look at my topic ("Brazilian Girl").

Finally got my exhaust!!
Ended up going with the two brothers slip on. Best money I've spent since I bought the bike The funny thing is that it was cheaper to buy it and ship it over from Chicago than it was to get one locally.
Now it really turns some heads

Oh gawd - I hate loud exhausts. I live in an are that has become blighted by sports bike riders with race track exhausts on public roads. They end up getting all riders the same bad reputation. IMHO a loud exhuast sounds no better than a stock one. Why on earth you'd want to give the long arm of the law an excuse to pull you over and look for other faults on your bike is beyond me. Why ou'd want to piss off the people who you live near amazes me. I even find that other drivers are more likely to drive agressively towards an agressive sounding bike. Ah well, each to his own. Maybe I'm old.

1. The stock pipe is too quiet. When riding next to a car with the windows up they cannot here you. At least with a loud pipe, if you are in a cars blindspot they will hear that you're there, and maybe not cut you off or hit you.. 2. As for the neighbours, considerate riders will ride quietly on residential streets, and open up when on the open roads. 3. Smart riders will keep their bike in good condtion anyway (no faults to find) so if Mr. Policeman is having a slow day and wants to pick on you for the exhaust, the worst they can do is make you have the noise level tested. (This is why we don't throw away the stock muffler)
I'd rather have to get the bike noise tested once a year than risk being killed by a vehicle who never knew I was there. But as you said, each to his own. Maybe I'm just too fond of life.

Both Pashby and Mathew have some good points to think about. I put a 2bros thinking about security first, but I really enjoy the sound rather than the stock one.

That point is regularly trotted out by those who favour loud exhausts - but it doesnt bear up to any evidence ( maybe some hear-say ). Good rider doesnt ride in the blindspot. Make your own safety by riding where you can be seen.

I too am fond of life - thats why I ride safe. Always amazes me that people who have loud exhausts ride with ear plugs so they dont have to listen to them.

Clearly you've never ridden in traffic. How do you overtake a car in a slower lane without at one point being in the blind spot?? You can't
As for ear plugs, never worn them
I think you are indeed too old for this forum. If you don't like loud exhausts then why come on a topic dedicated to those that do? And then go further by insulting them and claiming they give motorbike riders a bad name.
Perhaps you should voice your opinions where they belong.. maybe a local nursing home?

If your going to drop to the level of personal insults, then there is no point in having a forum ( its from the Greek/Roman - to discuss ). If you think I am too old for this forum then I bow to your accumulated years of wisdom and will say goodbye. Its been a blast. Honest.

SLEDDOG put on his moderators hat .
If you got nothing nice to say or don't like a persons {thread..loud pipes} don't read it or comment. Mathew ....I seen you got up set at someone giving you their opinion on your pipes , but keep it civil don't insult people...I've seen worse ,but just play nice boys and girls. I've been on this site for 2 years and only seen very small disagreements ,people like the forum as its civil and enjoyable ...lets keep it that way.
I think this is about the second time I've done a moderators note...
Don't comment about my reply here or anyone else's ........just talk about loud pipes IF your into them if not move on to another post.[color=#408040]
