Hi Club, I'm a new member at your forum and wanted to check in and say hi.

Hi  .

My wife and I live in the great Pacific Northwest, we both are finally getting in touch with our biker soul, meaning our dreams are coming true as our kids are out of our pocket :D. She's riding a Suzuki Burgman 400 and I just bought my '08 GSX650F, yet have already a Wee 650.

Since I'm 6'4" makes those 2 bikes the perfect choice for me, my knees would kill me on a Gixxer  .

I love everything which is run on gasoline, well almost, sure gotta have a lawnmower, so wifey can keep piling on to the honey-do list  but basically, its gotta smell after burned gasoline else ain't worth the effort (You hear me! you Prius Speed-bumps!!) So I got a few big blocks in my driveway, which leads to my avatar, got a Red '87 Corvette C4 convertible and truly she can and does burn the one or the other Porsche 911, if I'm in the mood to gamble with my driver's license  .

Gotta wait another week to get my new ride though, since I've ordered the Rims to be powder coated in white, I HATE Black rims

Thank you for a great source of advice, information and the possibility to share with tons of fellows my passion for my Suzi!!

if you get a moment... you might consider having them 3 stage painted like bodywork. in a lot of cases recently, powdercoating has been flaking and chipping and failing due to rocks, and other assorted rubbish.

it's something to think on. a 3 stage will ding, but you can keep a bottle of white touchup under your seat...
as us kids keep black bottles ;)

Thanks for the hint @Voided76, I've thought of this matter for quite some time, painting vs. powder, I decided to go down the powder rabbit trail, since I've got almost every part on my truck powder coated and it seems to stick, but I will have a touch-up bottle of white paint with me. After all, don't we want to have an excuse to keep working on our bikes

Thanks for the welcome, much appreciated.

Well I know, I might regret this at one point, especially since the chain is spank'n new so that will leave already stuff on the rim, but I found it just looks more esthetic this way. I've seen it on pics in a Scottish ad, where one wanted to sell his ride and it looked awesome.
