Hoping for a week touring bits of Scotland in late september. Looking to base myself out of Pitlochry.
Pashby,
My partner and I done a 4 day tour of Fort William, Isle of Skye and finally to a place called Drumnadrochit in September - I would recommend you take waterproofs, as it poured down the whole time lol

Oh yes, bring waterproofs. Try and get to Applecross via the Bealach na Baa (I think), and try Ullapool from Inverness, superb road. Just watch the bridge with cattle grids at each end, you feel you want to be leant over for the bends, but not going over the grids you don't.

[Hi John, nice to see I ain't the only Scottish member after all lol I'm sure you'll love the GSX when you get out and about coz I know I do [/quote]
Hi Jen, had a 1250 Bandit as a hire bike while my KLV was getting fixed, that's when I fell for the thing. I was going to wait for the GSX1250F, but thought, "what do I need 1250cc's for." We'll see.

........and here's me about to buy a 1340cc thinking to myself "Gee, is that going to be enough"
Could always wait for the GSX5BILLION-F
All kidding aside, I've been seriously thinking, looking at the K1300S, sweet ride. Going to take a demo out in the next couple of months when we finally see the sun again in the PNW .
