Hi there,

I started reading the forum before I even bought my bike and the info I found on here helped me to decide that the gsx650f was the one for me. 2011 blue and silver.

I have just had the first service done (1000ks) and the bike seems to be gong better each day, although i have noticed that after opening her up a bit it sounds a little more 'rattly' in the engine then it did when brand new.

After riding dirt bikes since a kid, and returning from asia where i hired a ninja 250 and rode me and my girl all around the place, I decided it was time to get a road bike, and at this early stage of owning the bike..... I'm wrapped.

Welcome again!
See, now you've saved me asking what one yours is ;)
Is it the FU, or are you fully licensed?
And what area of Sydney you in? There's a few of us in the St George area and further south...
I think that's all for now :D

Its the fu

I live in the newtown area.

I have been for two rides down through the national park to the sea cliff bridge and back. Is there any other 200-300km rides around the area that you would recommend ?

Putty Road would be about 300Km by the time you get up there and back.
But if you know the RNP, keep going to Bulli and go up the pass. On to the freeway heading south, until Picton Road. Then back down to the coast on Mt Keira Road. Turn right at Albion Park and go up Macquarie Pass and through Robertson. Turn left on to Pearson's Lane and rip through Wildes Meadow at warp speed (remember I'm the King ;)), then down to Kangaroo Valley for lunch at the Pie Shop. Come back the same way.

This is the route: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=216415741252655563833.0004a333dd9c944b63c7d
