I drilled two holes in the cover, cut the wires, ran them throught the holes, reconnected the wires using waterproof (heat shrink) connectors, wrapped the connectors with electrical tape (just to be sure to protect form the elements), then used black silicon to seal around the wires that ran throught the cover. Hope that helps.

Awesome, thanks!!! Good thing you mentioned cutting the wires (funny I never thought of that). I almost drilled holes on the side of the headlight housing (yikes).

Hid kit are made with hella technology, we sell about 8000-10000 kits per months to china and world market, so the quality is very good.

Form what I've read, the reflectors and lenses in the headlight itself are not designed for a bulb of that design. Something about the focal point being in the wrong place.

I bought my bike in 2008, and installed HID Xenon H7 6000K in the first week I got the bike.
So I can say I'm one of the first GSX650F with Xenon.
I cut the wires to the bulb too.
Drilled 2 holes in the cover, about 1cm (1/2 inch) apart, just the size of the wires.
reconnected the wires again and it works.
I got the 12 Volts OUTSIDE the headlight, so 2 holes are enough.
Sealed the wires in the cover with silicone, put the cover back.

First bulb lasted almost 2 years, didn't know the brand.
Electronic (big balast) is 3 years in use now.

I bought the really cheap east-asian stuff.
Payed 40 euro for a doubble H7 set including shipping.
I have installed multiple sets in cars and bikes
H7 22x
H1 6x
H4_2 20x
HB4 2x

Bought big balast, slim balast and semi-slim balast, even ARC, a german brand with special fittings ...
Defects ?? yes 1x H4_2 bulb , 2x slim balast and 4x big balast.
All replaced by waranty.

So WHY pay over 100 dollars for HID ??
