Came across a good price for HID kits if anyone is interested. DDM tuning website cut their prices on single bulb kits to $17.50. Link below:

Shippingcosts are $ 65 to Europe.
I'll order them on ebay for less.

Dont really thrust the cheap HID kits. I'd rather pay 100,- then 50,- to get a HID kit from a renowned company. Last thing you want on a holiday trip is to get a QC China kit to malfunction.

As I'm new to this, which kit did you get? I assume the single bulb one, but there are options of 35w, or 55w and then bulb type and bulb color.

Depends on whether you want to replace both the low beam or both low and high. However, because of how HIDs work, they don't work well when you have a dedicated high beam bulb because they don't turn off and on at an instant. Most people will replace the low beam and just keep the halagen bulb for the high beam. Generally the 35 watt is plenty bight even in the low beam for all driving. It'll be brighter than any halogen lamp and reach farther distances usually. The 55 watt can make too much heat as well, but it depends on the light housing. As for bulb color, an OEM hid is around 4500K if you want to be closer to legal colors (what you see on cars that have HIDs from the factory). Keep in mind that the more blue you go, the more your light will be reflected by water vapor (fog and such). At 4500K you will be closer to white, though I think the 5000K is a bit closer. However, the ones you see in cars are at about 4500K, so the choice is yours. Hope that helps.

David

i have the 6000kelvin bulbs for mine. h7 for the low and i think a 9005 for the high. dont quote me on the high but i know the low is an H7. 35w and its great. DDMtuning is where i got mine. they have a lifetime warranty on the ballast which is great and the price is great. all my buddies i ride with have them on their cars and bikes and we all love them. no problems yet! and i put mine on in january!

DDM tuning HID kits are quality and the warranty(lifetime) is top notch. The only problem I had was with the bulb itself which had a stupid plastic piece that you could not take off without breaking it. The bulb it came with wouldn't fit in the housing because it was too long. I replaced with Phillips bulbs and never looked back. I wish they were this cheap when I was looking for purchase.

Hi. I'm about to order from the ddmtuning site for my low beam HID upgrade but I just want to make sure if there are other things I need to do.
Did you have to install a relay for your HID kit or you just installed the HID kit only?
What specific Phillips bulb did you use to replace the bulb that came with the kit?

Thanks!

I ordered a 35 watt 8000k HID from DDM, and it should be here in a day or two. Once I get it installed I will give a review of the light to possibly help some others here make a decision.

Installation is pretty straight forward I would guess. Red is 12v and black is ground. The rest is plug and play.

I finally installed the low beam HID from DDM and it is surely bright. My question for those who installed it, is how did you put the headlight cover back? I tried different ways to cover the bulb entry way but can't think of a way to seal it from the elements. Right now, the wires are just hanging outside at the back of the headlight and I don't feel good just leaving it like that.

As long as I can seal the headlight rear hole, I can seal the contacts with some liquid tape or something.

Please help.
