I don't know if there is already a topic about this subject, but in case there isn't, i purchased a hiding license kit:
It's a great feature, easy to install and all, switch operated and great against Fixed radars and videotraffic. Anyone else around here with gadgets like this?

wouldn't you like to know:P? i got it from here http://www.trydeal.com/index.html Well it's pretty easy to install and has an 0/1 switch. When the switch is in the 0 position the kit is showing the license and is visible. When the switch is in the 1 position it flips down(the side showing the number faces the ground). Unfortunately it's good only against higher mounted radars and cameras(since our rear fender is at an agle the kit will not flip the license down at an angle wider than 90 degrees). So those of you that replaced the rear fender or cut it or whatever this kit should be perfect even for car level cameras and radars.

Its a cool mods ,but when a cop pulls you over for a normal traffic stop ,alot of them now about this mod and will notice it and you will get a fine or bike taken off the road.
Risk getting a speeding fine ..guess $200.
Risk getting a fine for having it ...guess $500 + getting your bike re-registered and out of police storage ..$1000.s.
They have been around along time and this has been talked about world wide on forums and most riders choose not to get one.
Just some thing to think about

Well cops in the us may know about it, but here i don't think so(but it's a good idea not to underestimate them). Well i've installed the kit pretty well and one would not notice the difference except on night time when the license is no longer visible 'cause the leds don't iluminate the license no more. Anyway i took it off since this days is allot of police patroling the city and they started a campaign against bikers with license plates that are not properly installed(if you know what i mean)

So you bought and installed a "licence hiding kit" because it 'might' avoid radar detection, then took it off because Police are checking bikes for incorrently installed licence plates. Are you serious?. What a waste of money!!!! On top of that, the plate is not visible at night which gives Police a reason to stop you and check.
Even worse. I just had a look at the web link you posted. OMG you paid $129.95 for that. What a joke.

Well i kinda wasted the money, sure but for city use. When i go touring the kit is worth every cent cause here we have many fixed radars and cameras, and when going 130km/h or 140 or 160 on an 80 or 90 km/h restrictied road it saves you from a lot of speeding tickets.
