OK my first learner bike was a GS500F ..to me I would call this a 1 year bike. Meaning after one year I would be borded with it and want some thing else ..only had it 6 months and sold it. For that reason ..not saying I out rode it and push it to it full ability ,but ready to move on. So how long are you planing on keeping it.
I'm 3 to 4 plus ...it still does everything I want and more and I'm along long way from out growing or riding it.

Keeping it between 3 and 4 years, primarily because I can't afford to change bikes yet. I am always searching for the bike that I will keep for the rest of my life, and the 650F isn't it. It's a great bike though, and if I'm honest I could keep it forever and it will always do what I need it to. I'm just looking for something that can do it better...

I ride my F every evening -- either alone, or with my wife or daughter. At the end of a long day, it's a truly wonderful thing.
I loved my Goldwing, too, and rode if for 22 years -- but the 650F is just SO much more fun to ride around town. Where the Goldwing was great on a 500-mile ride, the 650F is fabulous just buzzing around the island. My only regret is that I live in an area without very many twisty roads!
I may end up with another touring bike, but I plan on keeping the 650F forever.

I'm still driving my 650F every day. I own it 2 years and 3 days now. When I looked for a successor.... I didn't get much money for it. I'm keeping this bike for another 2 years or so. Just put a new front tire on,had my front rim replaced and ordered new brakepads.
Good to go !

@50360km now Front beakes give me the shivers second disk set, and they shake like crazy, just like the first ones. Can't figure out what's wrong. All started with the changing of the front rim, and 6000km later the front bearings were gone.... Thank you... you no good for anything mechanic from the dealership.
I want to trade in, but can't get a normal price. I want to sell, but no reply on the ad. So ... I just keep this bike, waiting for a miracle

Planning on keeping mine a couple of years at least, I have only had this bike for a couple of months but is is the most sensible out of the 8 bikes I have owned and I am enjoying the fact of not only having a toy, but one that makes sense and does everything well! See, sensible is not always overrated ...

I've owned it for 2 months now. I'm planning to keep it for at least 2 years. I would like to try different bikes. I haven't decided what would be my next yet. It will be depend on my riding style and interest after 2 years. I'm more than happy with my GSX now. I had a Ninja 250 and Ninja 500 both are very boring bikes. I hardly enjoyed riding them (compared to GSX) I should have bought this as my first instead of wasting time and money on those 2.

This machine does everything I ask of it... unless I were to start doing a lot of two up riding, I have no reason to get rid of it. I'm far from tired with it... sure, it's not the fastest, but it's faster than a Corvette & it's plenty of fun. I also enjoy the low insurance rates, & decent gas mileage... two things I'd miss if I had my "dream bike".
My '09 will be paid for by spring, so it will only become more enjoyable. I don't even have the urge to upgrade... I'm totally satisfied. I plan on keeping this machine for it's lifespan, or until I tire of motorcycling... whichever comes first.
