yes, but it is there for a reason. Some mods done can cause damage, the "NOISE" is what does damage, u can disagree, but some engineering on the 650 IS SPOT ON,
yet other items less oil cooler, or no disk pack ver oil tube in front forks, goofy tail section or trash can size muffler was DAM BEAN COUNTER stuff.

So I bought some L.E.D. marker lights (WLED-WHP5) and a brake lamp (1157-R45-T) along with a brake lamp modulator (strobe LSC-100A) pic of LED and incandescent next to each other, these LED are surprisingly bright.
Now for the brake strobe: I removed the seat, tools, reusable tie strap, and screws holding in the brake lamp, then disconnected the brake lamp jumper harness from the main harness.
take harness to somewhere that is free of flammables and warm ( its about 22 below today) cut the White wire with black tracer approximately 1.5 inches from the harness connector. strip wire ends approximately a half inch.
Take the appropriate wire from the jumper harness, place some shrink wrap over wire, and the input side of the strobe module, after stripping wire about 1 inch, fan out both wire ends, intertwine the ends and twist together, then solder, and use flux that is not acidic.
slide shrink wrap up and "shrink" do the same for the out-put to the lamp socket, then creat a jumper wire for the ground wire from the module approximately 1.5 feet long solder one end to the module, the other crimp on an eyelet (1/4 inch)
install jumper harness back into bike, I used the supplied 3M double sided tape to place the module to the underside of the tail. I hope you installed the bulb first end result: Before, brake applied
After, brake applied

And for giggles a before and after Yosh. pipe
