Hi,

Since the Winter season is coming up, how do you winterize your bike for the winter season? Do you change the existing oil in the Bike before putting it down for the winter season? I had the first service check of my bike at 1000 KM where the supplier changed the oil as well, now the bike has around 2000 KM, do you think there is a need to change the oil before winterizing the bike or wait for the next service check at 4000 KM?
Do you have any other Tips for the winter season?
Many thanks for your answers in advance
best Regards

Sta-Bil and a Battery Tender, then I shut the door to the garage and go upstairs.

Wash the bike properly.
Lift the bike from its wheels (centerstand or paddockstand)
Battery hooked up to a tender/charger.
For the 1000km you did after the oil change I wouldn't bother changing it again.

yep, thats about it, i spray a little WD 40 down the pipe to stop any condensation issues, oil doesnt need to be changed unless its at the end of its cycle, you dont want sediment settling over winter, no stand or bike lift ,put carpet under the tires as you dont want it sitting directly on concrete, clean your bike and bag it with a cover. I ride with friends in winter until they start dropping salt here to melt the ice, then its time to put them away, salt dust ruins your bike and gets into every crevese you can imagine.
