:x Last summerr I got a new front wheel (rim) from Suzuki, under an extended warrenty.

I've let the dealer put on a new Michelin PR2 .
Now 8000km later the front bearing is gone.

What happened ? THEY FORGOT TO LUBE THE SHAFT SEALS !
Never going back to that dealership again.
Suzuki makes the inside of the hub cone shaped, so one bearing can be removed easy, but the other one,
The inner shell and the bearingballs fell out, leaving the outer shell stuck in the wheel
I had to use a powertool (dremel) to cut ut out.

Now the bearings are OK, but at the end of March my left brakecalipper got stuck.
Both big pistons, the outer seals were coming out, so the piston wouldn't go back.
The disk overheated, brakepads were gone too.
After fixing the problem, the caliperpistons, I put everything back together.
It looked OK but the brakedisk isn't straight anymore :x

I ordered a new set on EBay.

I have to put them on this week, because we go to the Stelvio Pass (Italy)
A tour of 8 days and 3100 km

Can't wait to get the disks ......

Yep... brakeproblems began in the winter 2008-2009
I bought the bike in Oktober 2008.
Now 3 winters later, I still have 'winter' problems.
Just taking litte steps to make the bike better.
And I do it myself !

I used to worry if some kid in his first year as a mechanic was working on my bike and it they knew what they were doing or even if they give a crap.
I got a great mechanic now ,one man shop ..he's the mechanic and owner ,I know its done right.
He was the head mechanic at our local larger dealer down here ,now works for him self.

i know a lot of the forum guys and gals do own work. On my 650 all the custom work i did, and if a "Dealer Mechanic" do it would have added at lest four thousand more dollars, and some of the work would not be at Journyman level.

Looking at the bearings, are any offered that are the ceramic type, i remember that type was a big seller for the XB9 and 12 R BUELLS.

Year round riding any motorcycle is harsh. winter salt is the worst, followed by heavy rainfall, then HOT dusty weather.

My 650 does well out here in Californi, but the rain did cause some minor under tail paint damage very minor and fixed, and now chain has done big stretch. Still not bad 23k miles on mine.

OH where did U find the snazzy rotors ??

Geez, Lampie, that's rough!

As we speak, a garage is replacing my front wheel. Now you've got me worried if they will grease the front bearings!

Can you think of a way to check by inspecting it externally?

Good luck getting your brakes back together :|
