Bigole,

Re "comfyness": 'Spose it depends on your size, weight and how you're riding it (the more agressive would tend to move around a little more on their seat, so there's a bit of exercise of sorts). I'm six-foot-nothin' and about 90kg and commuting (stop-starting), errand-runs, etc are no problem comfort wise. It's the long highway haul that gives me grief however; after an hour, it's time to pull over for a stretch.

My next research will involve a higher screen, FWIW. May end up sticking with ear-plugs.

But again, great bike, and it's "heaviness" is well under-rated. Windy conditions, really not a big issue.

Cheers, Matt

So i am back to say i just got home from picking up my new to me 08 Suzuki GSX650F. Took it for a small test ride before i bought it. Checked out the sprocket and vin # just to make sure everything matched up. I have to say it was a fun yet scary ride home. I feel like i have to learn a whole new bike again. And man this thing cruises at 50 mph and it does not even feel like it. I will get you updated on my new GSX650f with riding and etc.

Thanks again for everyones comments. My next project besides learning the bike is to do a after market muffler.
I am interested very much in the two brothers or the yoshimura .

One last thing i was shifting at only 4000-5000 rpm to get up to speed and just sounds like it needs to shift. Can I safely rev it higher than that?

Matt

Thanks Bigolechalupa

I have been riding the bike now for about two days and over all i really really like it. wearing a backpack to work made my back a little sore but i could deal with it. my bike makes a little tick noise as well i saw that in another post. not to worried tho. I want to get a muffler now just not sure which one. i just want it to sound good and not be way to loud when i get to higher rpm's.

Must say i really like how you can rev the motor only to 5000 rpm and the bike gets up to speed just fine but if you really want it to go just pull back that throttle a little and man does it go.

Love the bike P:S so glad there is a GSX650F resource site like this one :)

I'm assuming the engine is fully broken in? Then yes, it is safe to rev it higher. I rev mine up to 10,000rpm every morning in second gear on a particular corner of my daily commute. You just dont want to leave it up there.

I am new to forum and riding and I hop the bike is not too much for me to handle....I am not a wimp but opinions vary quite a bit when it comes to this being your first bike...I am 5 11 and 188 lbs... Ishould beabkle to handle theweight of thebike.....if careful at low speeds...

ps: I am looking to buy a low mileage 2008 black on in theNC area so if anyone has ideas...let me know...thansk!!!

Hey mustang

I hope you can find a GSX650F black or even another color. I have had mine for only a couple of days and have already put about 100 miles on it. I really like it so far and it does have some good power but nothing really crazy. I don't rev my bike much past 6000 rpm but past that it still pulls. has nothing to do with being a wimp this bike can go very fast just ride safe and wear a helmet a good jacket and gloves and you will be fine.

Trust me i was very excited to buy one and I still am to go riding the one i bought.

Hope this helps good luck
