Hi ALL... 47y.o. bought a 2010 GSX 650F 4 days ago... black lower fairing/pearl white upper fairing and tank... rode trailbikes and 250 road bikes for a 15 yr stint before marriage, mortgage and kids... recently middle son gained his L's and bought a Ninja 250 (got any blacker!)... he let me have a ride and I was sucked in all over again... this is the biggest bike I have ridden so am taking it very easy and getting used to it... have clocked up 200 klms since purchased (currently on hols)... now we go riding TOGETHER... plus, I will commute to work on fair weather days (32 klm round trip)... used this forum extensively before purchasing the right bike for me... thanks for everything thus far...

Man that sounds great. Sure wish my 25 y.o. son was interested in riding. I think it would be great to go riding with your own kid. But he thinks they are just too dangerous and won't even pillion. He just wanted to make sure he was on my life insurance. Kids!
I've been riding up your area quite a bit. There are some really nice roads around there. Make sure you have a go of the Oxley Highway after you get more comfortable. Although nothing wrong with just taking it nice and slow as well. It's a great ride!
