Dear All,
I've had a search through all the luggage forums and have found some great info, but the one thing I am after is very difficult to find out.

I bought a BMW soft bag for my old F800ST just over a year ago, and since relocating to the US and buying my GSX just a couple weeks ago, I would like to find out if my bag will fit on any current rack out there?

I have taken some pictures of the bag and measured it, and therefore know the maximum width the rack needs to be. It can't be any wider than 9" so it will allow the under straps to slide over. The length isn't so important, the bag base is around 13" wide so it can be a few inches shorter than that.

I really like the bag and it was pretty pricey (BMW say no more), so would prefer to make use of it with my new bike.

If anyone has any suggestions as to which rack they think I should check out, or maybe owns the perfect rack then I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Thanks 99sydrd,

I've just been looking at the Ventura racks and they appear to have a rasied hoop at the front which may prevent the bag from sliding up the rack very much.

The ST rack which was on my old bike I attach a picture of below, you can see it's completely flat so the bag has no obsructions.

Anyone know of anything similar?

Thanks

If you want something flat, suggest you try the SW Motech Alu Rack, (its as flat as they come, you might even find a bmw adaptor plate for it.

I know you can get adapter plates for the BMW hard luggage.
