Anyone have experience with Ipod remote controls? I'm looking at a couple of large button models which I think would work well while riding, so you can adjust volume, etc. Here is one model:

You wear headphones while riding? Kind of dangerous, don't you think? How do you hear the traffic around you? Wouldn't it be better to have all of your senses focused on riding?

Thanks,
I don't listen to music in city or in town traffic. I do use them occasionally while driving on the highway. In a car you have the windows rolled up and music on routinely. I guess it depends on each persons abilities and comfort level as a defensive driver. Watching most folks on the roads I could wear blinders with ear plugs and drive more defensively then most. You are right in that, like speed, bike modifications, ear phones, etc. they all might distract from driving situations.
